Site items in: Building Worker Power

In our economic system, the workplace is a prime site of exploitation, and the inequalities and suffering created and experienced there bleed over into every other aspect of life. Worker power is the major counterweight to rampant corporate power, and the backbone of a functioning democracy.

But for decades we have witnessed an ongoing suppression of worker power, with declining unionization, declining pay, and rampant wage theft, empowered by a legal system that has undermined employment law protections and labor market competition in a morass of arbitration clauses, worker non-competes, and corporate consolidation.

Justice Catalyst supports projects that empower workers to act collectively to protect their rights, improve their security and living conditions, and engage in the fight for a sustainable and livable economy, society, and world.
