Justice Catalyst Law (“JCL”) Justice Catalyst Law is looking for a Chicago-based social worker to assist 3-5 clients with accessing and navigating community services, food and housing resources, healthcare, and other support services as needed. The social worker will be a part-time, paid independent contractor. We anticipate approximately 1-4 hours of work per week for 6-12 months (or longer, if needed), with a greater time commitment (5-10 hours per week) during the first 1-2 months. The social worker will set her or his own hours, but is expected to respond to client emergencies (e.g., loss of housing, major injury) same-day if necessary to avoid major disruption to the clients’ safety, lives, or livelihood. The social worker may be expected to occasionally meet with clients or service providers in-person in Chicago during regular business hours, if required to secure appropriate services.
Required Qualifications: Social work license in the state of Illinois; experience navigating Chicago social services, especially related to food and housing stability, as well as job placement.
