Lee Tremblay

Lee Tremblay will work with Legal Voice, a Pacific Northwest organization fighting for gender liberation, to strengthen resilience and resistance to anti-abortion efforts in the state of Idaho. The project will use a reproductive justice framework to provide impact litigation, coalition building, and community education, protecting disabled people and their caregivers from being criminalized or forced to engage with the legal system.A Georgetown University Law Center graduate, Lee also holds a B.A. from Colgate University and grew up in the Seattle area. During law school, Lee was President of the Disability Law Student Association, Editor-in-Chief of the Annual Review on the Georgetown Journal of Gender & Law, and a legal observer for the National Lawyers Guild. Before law school, Lee worked as an AmeriCorps Volunteer with the Washington Service Corps, a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) program in Ecuador, and as an assistant to an immigration attorney. Lee’s writing on disability justice has been published by the Georgetown Law Technology Review, their work on sexual- and gender-based violence is being published in the Georgetown Law Journal, and their account of Peace Corps service appeared in USA Today.
