Natalie Cauley

Natalie Cauley will be joining the ACLU of Alaska Prison Project, where she will litigate and advocate on behalf of people incarcerated in Alaska. Her project will focus on the provision of medical treatment and substance use treatment in state facilities. Natalie's project will especially aim to include and support activists and stakeholders from the Alaska Native community, as the indigenous population makes up a hugely disproportionate share of incarcerated people in the state. Before her fellowship, Natalie clerked on Alaska state courts for two years and attended Yale Law School. In law school, Natalie worked on research related to policing and racial justice, represented a client (alongside an incredible team) on a federal sentencing case, and served as an Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Journal of Law & Feminism. Previously, Natalie served as a Jesuit Volunteer with El Programa Hispano Católico in Gresham, Oregon. She attended Virginia Tech where she received BAs in Economics and French.
