NY AG and Catalyst Fellow Tavi Unger Sues Car Wash Over Unpaid Wages

On January 8th, the New York Attorney General’s Labor Bureau, including Catalyst Fellow and Volunteer Assistant Attorney General Tavi Unger, filed a lawsuit against Brooklyn-based Tropical Breeze Car Wash for allegedly cheating over 150 minimum wage car wash workers out of more than $540,000 in wages and benefits. The Attorney General is seeking nearly $1.6 million in restitution, damages, and penalties.
