Jordan Brewington
Jordan Brewington will join Louisiana Bucket Brigade as a Reparative Justice and Racial Equity Fellow with the support of the Justice Catalyst fellowship. In partnership with local descendant community organizers, Jordan will advocate for the redistribution of wealth and land as a form of reparative justice to descendants of those enslaved on plantations in southeastern Louisiana. She will also support descendants in their ongoing efforts to prevent further environmental injustices in Louisiana’s Cancer Alley. Jordan is a recent graduate of Yale Law School. Prior to law school, Jordan worked at Whitney Plantation in Wallace, LA, a plantation museum dedicated to honoring the memory of enslaved men, women, and children in southeastern Louisiana.
